New features and enhancements 🚀

  1. Remember card details
Users paying with their credit card can now save their payment and contact details for a faster checkout experience. Stripe will send an SMS verification code to the user so they can securely retrieve their saved payment methods and auto-fill the payment form. The user can store multiple payment methods.

This feature uses Stripe Link. IOTee does not store any payment information. You can find more information regarding Stripe Link here.

  1. Recovery mode
Recovery mode allows you to manually change the cart back to “Key mode”. To do this, cycle the Run/Tow switch 3 times in a row, waiting 3 seconds between each cycle. We have made this optional under the Site Settings -> Recovery Mode.

Note this feature will require your devices to be updated. Please see Device updates over 4G/LTE below.

  1. Recenter map
Your map will center to a default position, this is set when we create your site, however some users might need the map to center to a different location. You can now lock the center position of the map. When you load the map page, it will automatically center to this new location. This setting is saved only to your computer.

  1. General improvements
To handle the growing volume of connected devices, we have made significant improvements to our systems and made preparations for future feature releases.

Device updates over 4G/LTE

Sometimes we need to push firmware updates to your devices so you can stay up to date with feature releases and enhancements. In the past we were only able to update devices which are connected to WiFi.

Our new device firmware allows devices to receive future updates via 4G/LTE. No WiFi required! This firmware version also includes the “Recovery Mode”.

But…we need your help…This new firmware requires your devices to first be updated over WiFi. We will contact you individually to perform this update. You will need to bring your carts to a location with WiFi signal.
