Geofences and Zone Groups

Alert (Buzzer) Zones

An Alert Zone will sound an audible tone from the device, alerting the driver that they are in a restricted area. It will continue to sound the buzzer until they leave the zone.

Stop Zones

Stop Zones will Stop the cart for 10 seconds when entering the zone. After 10 seconds, the cart is released. The buzzer will continue to sound until they leave the zone.

Parking Zones

A Parking Zone is an area where your carts are usually stored or parked. When carts are inside the Parking Zone, a the Auto Lock timer will start. You can read more about Auto Lock here.

A Parking zone also determines if a cart is "In Use" or not. Carts inside the Parking Zone show blue and carts outside the Parking Zone show as yellow.

Message Zones

Message Zones are only available for CartCaddie customers using our GPS screens. Messages defined in these zones will appear on screen when they enter the zone. An alert will also play to draw their attention to the screen.

Show Zones on Screen

For CartCaddie customers, zones can be permanently displayed on screen. Use the "Visible" switch to toggle this for each zone.

Note: Zones will always show on-screen whenever the cart is within the zone.
