Cart Tracking

Cart Tracking

Cart Marker Colours

The carts will show different colours depending on the status of the cart:

  • Blue - The cart is inside a Parking Zone
  • Yellow - The cart is outside the Parking Zones
  • Bright Yellow - The cart is moving
  • Red - The cart is offline

How often do the devices send locations?

The cart will send its location at different intervals depending on:

  • If the cart is locked - Once approximately every 3 hours
  • If the cart is moving - Up to every 10 seconds
  • If the cart has stopped - Once, after 10 seconds

Ride and Driver Info

Driver Name and Service (i.e 18 Holes/9 Holes) (3) will show on the map if you set this information when unlocking the cart. In case the cart is unlocked by a booking, this data will be added automatically.

Clicking on the cart will also show the location history up until it's current location (4).

When you have a cart selected, the map will follow the cart as it moves

Cluster/Grouping Cart Markers

When Clustering is enabled, carts which are nearby will group together and show a quantity. This is ideal for sites with larger fleet sizes. Clicking on the cluster will display the individual carts. You can toggle this by selecting the button in the "Toggle Clustering" button at the top right corner of the map.

Tracking in Key Mode

Carts which operate in Key Mode will still track on the map and record a ride history. The ride history starts when the key is on and stops when the key is off.

Notes about GPS and accuracy

  • GPS will not work properly indoors, or close to buildings, the locations will vary, sometimes quite dramatically.
  • GPS uses satellites from space to determine the location of a device. The more satellites the device can see, the more accurate it will be.
  • The device must have a clear sight of the sky so it can communicate with as many satellites as possible.
